Bridge of sighs

I hope I misread the article in Thursday's Press about the demolition of a footbridge at the University. If not we have a bad case of what I call reverse discrimination in York.

It seems to say the bridge has to go because it cannot be made suitable for the disabled, despite the fact that the numbers of people who are able to use it far outnumber the few who cannot.

Absolute bonkers. We'll have to 'level' the Lake District next!

Accessible man-made built environment is hardly reverse discrimination.

But don't let that take away a reason to moan!
