Colour confusion

I HAVE to be very grateful for the NHS.

I am alive today because of it and, having a recent stroke, I had the pleasure of seeing the ambulance service in attendance.

The treatment I received was first class.

My trouble is with the tablets I receive, all of which I need.

What I do not need is to be confused by tablets which change colour each time I get a prescription.

Omeprozole is yellow then grey/blue then pink/cream, Tamsulosin pink/olive then brown/cream, Atenolol white then orange, and it goes on.

I have to be very careful to take the right tablet at the right time and I fear for fellow elderly tablet-takers with more impaired eyesight than myself.

Dennis Barton, Acorn Way, York.
