OUTGOING council leader Steve Galloway thanked his colleagues as he bid farewell to the top job at City of York Council.
Coun Galloway chaired his last executive meeting as leader this week, before standing down as council leader today.
He thanked councillors Sue Sunderland and Keith Aspden, who are leaving the executive, and said he believed the executive had made major achievements over the past five years, including taking a stand on issues that had not been popular at the time.
