Has pub’s CCTV captured ghosts on film?

A LANDLADY thought whisky, gin, vodka and rum were the only spirits in her York pub – until she spotted some ghostly goings-on on CCTV.

Janine Robinson and her husband, Steve, are tenants at the Light Horseman pub and hotel in Fulford Road.

On a Saturday morning, the first thing she usually hears downstairs is the cleaner coming in at about 8am.

But on August 23, she heard an unusual sound at 7.30am. “It sounded like the hand dryers you get in toilets,” she said.

The pub has digital cameras in all communal areas constantly recording. “I put the cameras on in the office upstairs to have a look,” she said. “I saw what I thought was a man going up the stairs. I saw something else going behind it and going into the poolroom.

“But when I switched to the camera in there, it was all locked up and there was nothing there.”

Janine had to go downstairs to make breakfast for her guests. Later, she went back to look at footage from the camera in the downstairs hall and saw ghostly orbs floating up the stairs.

“I’ve no idea what it is,” she said. “We’ve had the camera looked over. There’s no fault on it, nothing hanging down on to it and no torch because you’d see the beam – it’s just weird.”

“If someone can tell me what it is, I’d love to know,” the sceptical landlady said.

The Robinsons took over the premises four-and-a-half years ago. Janine said she had been told it had been purpose-built as an officers’ mess for the nearby Imphal Barracks in the 19th century.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before,” she said. “But if they’re checking into the B&B, I want paying!”

There are 4 kids and a dog at the University who ride around in a brightly coloured van. Think their names are Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy. The dog is called Scooby.

They will investigate this mystery for you but watch the hippy and the dog, they get the munchies alot and will go through your fridge.

They had some success the other week. They unmasked two criminals who had been terrorizing the public with taxes and stupid laws. Galloway and Reid I believe they're called. Galloway was heard to say "If it wasn't for those meddling kids, we'd have got away with our plan to raise taxes, embezzle cash and mislead the voters".

I can't beieve people don't study videos like this! It is soooooo obvious that it is a double image repeated of the same man walking in the same pattern over and over again. The wonders of old video tape!

Nice idea but a web cam does not use video tape! I strained at this video and could see no evidence of a man at all and as for the orbs these are just dust particles that are floating infront of the lens (it is just coincidence that these look like they are floating up the stairs). Sorry no spooks there!

Happydaze, study the video footage more closely, turn the brightness up on your screen! It is definitely the same image of a man walking up the stairs and turning right at the top. He's wearing a light coloured top and dark trousers and actually reaches out to hold on to the bannister half way up. This has been recorded over the top of the previous image, as the pattern is exactly the same, but starts in a different position. The cameras are digital and record, so the technical glitch like this is fairly common.

Whatever it is - it's a free advert for this pub.

The Press make a habit of filling their pages with adverts like this..

Orbs are only ever caught on Digital cameras/camcorders FACT. They are dust particles on teh lense of the camera that show up when ptoho or recording is taken, they apper to movee about from shot to shot as dust does indeed move.... if you believe this is proof of ghost fair play to you..... its not though

I know a chap who lives in Larry Grayson's old house in Nuneaton. He says that the house is possibly haunted by Larry Grayson because doors in the place keep on mysteriously shutting.

3 weeks ago on a very gay day some scores appeared on the doors and a lad who seemed like a nice boy turned up to deliver some 'khaki coloured furniture'.

If it isn't Larry Grayson haunting the place, the chap says it could be one of his dead friends from the generation game namely Slack Alice, Pop-it-in-Pete the postman, Self-Raising Fred the baker or Larry's close friend Everard Farquharson.

Would anyone go there and in total darkness, ask the ghosts to come out?
