A POLICE helicopter was involved in a four-hour search for a York woman who was reported missing.
The hunt, which involved about a dozen police officers, began shortly after 8pm last night and is believed to have taken place in the Hob Moor area of the city.
Police initially conducted searches on the ground, but when the woman was not found they deployed the helicopter.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the woman, who is aged in her late 40s, was located “fit and well” outside a local school by a police officer just after midnight.
