Tech firm lands offices contract

9:07am Friday 11th August 2006

NETWORK experts at Ryedale Telecommunications have made another major connection.

The firm has won a contract to supply high-tech products and support to York-based office suppliers Wallis Business Services. The two companies have also struck an affinity deal, which sees Wallis offering its customers telecom services via Ryedale.

That puts Ryedale on target to double turnover to £3 million this year.

Ryedale Telecom managing director Alice Adams, a contender for two Press Business Awards, said: "Wallis is a big, well-established company. It's worth shouting about - the best of the region coming together to offer up-to-the-minute technologies and better services than a lot of the competition down in London."

Ryedale Telecom already supplies voice, data and internet products to several FTSE-100 businesses and others. Proficient in cheaper web-based communications via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), it is a one-stop shop which can manage a firm's complete telecom network.

Peter Wallis, managing director of Wallis Business Services, said: "Ryedale Telecom fitted our customer profile. They are more than a service or a product. You feel safe with them."

Ryedale Telecom employs 11 people. Earlier this year, the firm moved into the Pocklington Business Centre, which it transformed from an old gym.
