YORK City suffered their first Blue Square Premier defeat under Colin Walker as they went down 3-1 at Histon.

The Minstermen slipped to 11th place in the table after the Glass World Stadium reverse, 11 points away from the play-off zone.

Jack Midson put Histon ahead in the fourth minute and Nathaniel Knight-Percival made it 2-0 after 16 minutes.

City's Nicky Wroe pulled a goal back from the penalty spot and then had a quickly-taken free-kick strike ruled out by the referee.

Midson's second goal in the 50th minute sealed York's fate and earned Histon a memorable double, following their 4-1 win at KitKat Crescent earlier in the campaign.

Time to build a team for next season now. The play offs are a possibility still so lets get behind the lads but in all honesty I think it's over

how Amy Reyner is still a referee i do not know!!

She was appalling today, like our performance and had no control of the game or players.

I agree with 'punk_ian' that we won't catch the teams in the play-offs and must look towards next season, although we must still not forget that there are a few games to go in this season and finish in a respectable position.

welldone though lads what a unbeaten run ! we are still a few players short of being a promotion threat, a quility keeper and a real quility leader on the pitch, well done lads keep it you never know where the season will go !

Well it had to come. I just hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise - now there's no pressure to keep a run going the players might actually relax and get back to the free-flowing football that they're capable of. Let's hope they can continue to enjoy their football and get as many wins as possible in the next few weeks - we're still at the stage where anything can happen (except relegation, hopefully).
My only worry is that some of our best players are still on short contracts, though not as many as last year thankfully. It would be a shame if , come August, we're still in the Conference and having to rebuild the team again.

From yesterdays and Tuesdays showing there is one main problem - Leo Fortune West. Since his arrival, our lack of football has been apparent and we have resorted to the long ball more so than ever. We had a slim chance of the play-offs but I'm afraid LFW has ensured we will not make them. I know he had a good turn and volley yesterday but I see that the best way to play this bloke (sounds daft) is to stick him in central defence to combat our terrible defending against the high ball!

Dinga - for once I am in agreement with you. By putting Leo in the team i feel a tactic has set in where 'hoof it up to the big man' insead of trying to be creative. At least everyone know Broadie wasnt very good and didnt bother hoofing it up to him! If we can stay creative bu keep Leo in the time we could really click. Putting him in defence is not the answer though.

Well done to the lads on their excellent run though.

Apart from the LFW turn and volley I was left feeling very negative about his commitment to helping York City and after such a good run I was surprised by the lack of confidence shown by York yesterday. Wasn't helped by the dreadful referee (who sadly was about as good as York's performance). Anyway hope the players can move on and show that they have a desire to be winners.

there has to be some sort of rotation system or plan for the strikers there
are too many of them i reckon york should start with sodje and farrel up front and then bring leo on in the second half. this showed againts grays. then when he played a full game againts halifax he did not seem up to it !

How can Leo be blamed for the short comings of our defence both between the sticks and outfield. We have leaked goals in from all angles since day one of the season..49 put past us in 31 games...at this rate we will ship over 70...nothing to do with LFW arriving
