The Final of the York F1 Racing Premier Karting Sunday Morning League Grand Central League Cup will be an all-second division affair after Wanderers and Pocklington both beat top-flight opponents.

The tie between Hounds and Wanderers was heading for extra-time before Lewis Howarth broke the deadlock with a last-minute strike. Paul Beddingham and brothers Dave and Gary Newton were also on target for Wanderers.

Pocklington beat Thorpe 4-3 on penalties with the game locked at 1-1 after extra-time.

It was lucky 13 for Severus as they clinched the first division title by beating Wiggington Grasshoppers 13-2.

The emphatic win also took their goal tally this season to 100 after Mark Woodward scored with his fifth goal of the game. Other marksmen were Neil Robertson, Mark Triffitt, Gareth Singleton and Craig McShane - all with two goals apiece.

Second division leaders Skelton claimed promotion after a 6-1 victory over York Nomads. A hat-trick from Chris Holmes, plus a brace from Neale Holmes and a Ben Janes goal, secured the points.

Selby Griffin can still gain promotion despite dropping points in 5-5 draw against Pocklington after beating Wanderers 4-3 in mid-week.

On target for Griffin against Pocklington were Lewis Blackwell and Andy Woodall with two each, and Dale Ranby. Pocklington's goals came from Dan Boneham, Paul Horne, Stuart Lawson, Darren Hobson and Dan Croft.

Anyone of five teams could still win division three headed by favourites Enterprise after their 5-2 midweek win over White Horse.

Second-placed Albion failed to beat Station and could only share the points despite a Steve Rowbottom hat-trick and goals from Dave Reasbeck and Rich Wilks in a 5-5 draw.

Wilberfoss remain third after beating Cawood 9-0 with Stuart Barker scoring four, Matty Parkin three and Dave Burrows and Danny Johns one each.

New Earswick were relegated after losing 4-1 to Acomb Rangers who had double strikes from Danny Wood and Steve Martin to give them the points.

Shoulder of Mutton drew 2-2 with Heworth after goals from Shaun Charlton and Andy Watkinson. Paul Bentley and Heworth club secretary Gary Sullivan replied.

Division four saw Acorn and Marcia Grey promoted. The latter still have four games in hand and are only seven points behind.

Acorn went to Acomb Rangers and won 3-2 with a brace from Steve Cross, plus a Kev Brundrett strike.

Chris Murcutt scored the goal that kept Marcia in the title hunt as they beat FC Barlby 1-0.
