YORK City Knights will give reserve-team debuts to two teenagers tonight – including the son of assistant-boss James Ratcliffe.
The academy have been hit by injuries and unavailability recently but have now boosted numbers, with 17-year-old hooker/half-back Jake Ratcliffe and teenage centre Richard Bostock, a former Dewsbury Rams academy and Thornhill Trojans player, coming into the squad.
Bostock –the younger brother of Dewsbury’s Andy Bostock - will go up against his old team-mates as the Knights visit Rams Stadium for a 7.30pm kick off.
Also involved are centre Kain Seavers, a Scarborough Pirates and New Earswick All Blacks junior, want-away first-team winger Lee Mapals, Michael Brown, a trialist from Eastmoor Dragons, who gets another chance to impress, and first-teamer Matt Danville, who returns from illness. Joe Stearman and Luke Watling also return from the Student World Cup.
Knights reserves: Wilson, Danville, Joe Stearman, Elliott, Speck, Walton, Varley, Seavers, J Ratcliffe, Endersby, Leeke, Bostock, Hunter, Fraser, Watling, Mapals, Brown.
