A FIVE-LEG winning burst propelled Rich Corner to victory in the final of the Clifton Hotel Darts Open.
Trailing 2-0 in the final to Lawrie Morgan, Corner, raised his game to take the title after five weeks of top-class action.
Morgan won the first two legs in 21 darts and was on a double in four of the next five legs, only for Corner to strike.
Legs of 17 and 16 darts started the comeback and Corner produced a 104 finish in an 18-dart leg before wrapping up with a 14-darter.
In the last four, Morgan had beaten Acomb’s Chris Thompson 4-3, with both players throwing two 180s.
Corner ousted Neil Hart 4-1 in his semi-final.

The other qualifiers, beaten in the first round, were Steve Evans, Dave Scaum, Dean Platt, Chris Kitson, Mark Greenley, John Gothard, Jason Fletcher and John Quantock.
The Grand Finals night players clocked up 165 tons, 45 ton-plus and eight 180 scores.
