STUART Limbert threw three 180s as he progressed to the next stage of the Clifton Hotel Blue Square UK Open qualifying tournament.

Victories over Andy Mayhill (3-0), Dave Gibbons (3-1) and Kevin Pallister (3-0) set Limbert up for a Group One final meeting with Mike Kearney, whom he defeated 3-1.

Lutz Leutzsch beat Barry Noble 3-0 to claim the other qualifying place in the Group B final, having earlier overcome Dave Scaum 3-0, Mark Fratson 3-2 and Dave Binks 3-0.

Noble, Dan Tait and Lawrie Morgan also enjoyed 180s while the biggest finish of the three qualifying nights saw Shane Hurst hit bull to check out on 155.

A total of 162 tons were thrown on the evening with 38 140s, as 34 legs were completed in 21 darts or less.

Limbert and Leutzsch will now join fellow qualifiers Rich Corner, Pip Hair, Neil Hart and Tommy Heron in the next stage.

The Clifton Hotel will also host an Individual and Blind Pairs Open with registration 1pm for a 1.30pm start. Entry is £3 with £100 in prize money.
