He's an award-winning actor, writer and director, and Tim Robbins has revealed he's expanding his talent into music.
"I've just finished recording an album of my songs, that's in the future for me," he says. "(They're) good songs. I don't know, it's sort of a little bit rock and roll, a little bit folk."
The 49-year-old is following in the footsteps of his dad Gilbert, a folk singer who was part of The Highwaymen.
But Tim, who next stars in City Of Ember with Bill Murray and Saoirse Ronan, has no plans to stay away from films for the time being.
"I've written a pilot for Showtime, and they're casting it right now. It's about the pharmaceutical industry," he revealed.
When pressed about whether it would be a heavy drama or a black comedy, Tim, who has written, produced and directed movies with strong social content such as Dead Man Walking, and Cradle Will Rock, refused to give any more information. Instead, he simply laughed and said: "Yeah, yeah."
City Of Ember is on release from Friday, October 10.
