The Flare Contemporary Art and Craft market will be held at The Tithe Barn, Nether Poppleton, York, on November 9 and The Chapel, York Cemetery, Cemetery Road, York, on November 16.

More than 20 artists and makers will exhibit their original work for sale between 11am and 4pm on both days, at prices ranging from £5 to £200.

Kathryn Hick, one of the Flare organisers, says “We hope that people visiting the markets will enjoy seeing a rich variety of textiles, jewellery, bags, ceramics and artwork, all available at very affordable prices.”

Flare was set up in 2006 by Kathryn and fellow York artist Louise Gee and the Pateley Bridge duo of Helen Knaggs and Sarah McKenzie to support other artists and craftsmen by organising contemporary art and craft markets.
