AMERICAN rock legend Meat Loaf will kick off Castle Howard's weekend of open-air concerts this summer.
The 60-year-old Texan will play the North Yorkshire country pile on July 11 as part of his Casa De Carne Tour, and tickets have gone on sale at £37.50 at Ticketline, 0871 424 4444 (plus booking fee), www.ticketline.co.uk; Ticketmaster, 0844 576 5483 (plus booking fee), www.livenation.co.uk; Grand Opera House, York, 0844 8472322 (plus booking fee); and Castle Howard, 01653 648623 (plus booking fee).
Alternatively, you can book in person at the Grand Opera House, in Cumberland Street, with no booking fee.
Meat Loaf completes a weekend line-up that already features reformed Irish boy band Boyzone, led by Ronan Keating, on July 12 and Georgian-born singer-songwriter Katie Melua on July 13.
